Hellen Lonn, is a committed health professional and counselor with 15 years of experience with the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services (CBCHS). Currently a Ph.D. candidate in Public Health at the University of Calabar in Nigeria, she has actively participated in numerous seminars, including the Extended Forum for Care, Psychosocial First Aid for COVID, and the Ecumenical Pharmaceuticals Network for Africa.
Experience:
Throughout her career, Lon has volunteered as a health educator in various communities, demonstrating her dedication to improving public health outcomes. She is also trained as a Child Protection Officer, showcasing her commitment to safeguarding vulnerable populations. Since joining Legacy in 2019 as a Livelihood Skill Trainer, she has successfully led initiatives that empowered over 70 young women in the production of household cosmetics in Yaoundé between 2019 and 2023.
Lonn’s multifaceted expertise in public health and livelihood training, combined with her passion for community service, positions her as a vital resource for youth empowerment. As a married mother of three biological and four foster children, she exemplifies a holistic approach to community development, balancing her professional ambitions with her commitment to family and social responsibility.
